Where are the restaurants? Top ranked tend to be in and around Harper Court and elsewhere west on 53rd, especially Kimbark Plaza, some at 55th/Lake Park and especially east along 55th to Hyde Park Boulevard, and scattered along 57th Street. Several have joined the trend to sidewalk cafes- Chant, Pizza Capri, Chant, Potbelly...

Good selection of foreign and domestic beers at three bars. Full regular bar. Kitchen for burgers, comfort food and sandwiches, especially popular at noon, early evening. Private parties. Occasional entertainment.
Street parking or across street (if discrete), UC lot 1 1/2 block to west free after 4 and weekends. Metra and other buses half mile; on 55, X55, 171 and 172 circulators. Just to southwest UC campus, Court Theatre, Smart Museum, athletic center.
